Dr. Max Jungmann
CEO & Co-Founder
Max is the Founder and CEO of Momentum Novum and the Executive Manager of the Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE) at Heidelberg University. After studying political science as well as sociology, media and communication science at the Universities of Trier and Heidelberg, he earned his PhD on health policy challenges of climate change at the University of Heidelberg.
He teaches seminars on climate policy, leadership, innovation management, negotiation techniques, project management and strategic foresight at the Chair of International Relations and Foreign Policy at Heidelberg University, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and the Steinbeis Business Academy (SBA). Moreover, he is a Lecturer at the German Federal Foreign Office, where he trains young diplomats. Max is a Climate Reality Leader and served for more than seven years on the volunteer and senior staff of the largest UN simulation in the world, National Model United Nations New York.
His areas of expertise are particularly in the fields of regulation on climate change and sustainability at international and national level, sustainable business management, innovation management, strategy development and change management. Among other things, he has developed deep expertise in strategic foresight, particularly scenario workshops, and regularly leads design thinking and co-creation workshops.
Max is a keynote speaker on topics including: sustainability regulation (e.g. CSRD and CSDDD), Corporate sustainability, leadership, sustainability in the health sector, innovation management, international climate policy, circular economy, energy transition, and foresight approaches.
