Michael completed his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Human Geography at Goethe University in Frankfurt. During this time, he focused on marginalized groups and what their, mostly unnoticed, form of political participation looks like.

During his master's degree in political science at the University of Heidelberg, he developed a keen interest in the topic of sustainability. Particularly for the CSRD framework and the question of how companies can become more environmentally and socially sustainable in the future.
